[ he grumbles and "I know" while snapping to make a green light. ]

[ Just Crowley things, he guesses. He decides to change the subject. ]

Did I tell you, I found a bargain deal on fire extinguishers in bulk?

Oooh, did you? Gathered them all up then? At least one for each room?

[ asked as he pulls up to the Ritz, a space miraculously made available just now. ]

[ he raises his eyebrows at Aziraphale before climbing out of the car. ]

[ he's in step with Crowley as they head towards the door of the Ritz. ]

Quite a few. Although they're apparently not all suited to put out—paper fires.

[ maybe this was a bad change of subject. thankfully they're at the restaurant and can focus on getting a table. ]

[ he barely glances at the host, throwing up two fingers when they ask how many before turning back to Aziraphale. ]

[ he shakes his head ]

Never mind that now, look. Our table is ready.

[ he gives him an ironic look from behind his glasses at that phrasing, but he looks away as the sever directs them to their table. he's already ordering drinks before they sit. ]

[ the fact that Aziraphale knows exactly what he wants to order is in no way going to prevent him from delightedly perusing the menu once they've been seated. ]

[hell_on_wheels]

[ Crowley rattles off some side dish that he knows Aziraphale likes and will push to give him later. ]

And just, uh, leave the bottle of wine on the table, thanks.

[ Aziraphale orders a cocktail, but he's going to make the server come back for his food order, because that's the proper order of things and also it gives him time to read the whole menu and see if they've changed anything. ]

[ Crowley watches the other patrons for a moment but eventually (always) turns his head back to Aziraphale. ]
